Join the upcoming innovation event GCCIR Matchmaking Symposium in Barcelona 2018 held in Barcelona, Spain by Innoget and GCCIR.

Join us in this unique opportunity for Spanish organizations to connect with potential Albertan partners to jointly develop R&D projects eligible to receive funding under the Alberta-Europe Technology Collaboration Fund as well as other funding programs to be presented during the event.

The matchmaking symposium, organized by both the German-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (GCCIR) and Innoget, the free access global open innovation network, with the support of the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and ACCIÓ, the agency for business competitiveness in Catalonia, will take place on November 19th in Barcelona, as part of the 2018 GCCIR Matchmaking Mission to Europe.

Why attend

Roughly 15 to 20 Albertan SMEs (small-to-medium sized enterprises) will participate in the symposium for the purpose of meeting potential R&D partners based in Spain. Furthermore, during the event, the German-Canadian Centre for Research (GCCIR), the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and ACCIÓ will present the available funding programs that both Spanish and Albertan partners could apply to fund the resulting projects.

Join the annual edition of the startups event EU-Startups Summit 2018 held in Barcelona, Spain by EU-Startups.

On April 24, we’re going to host the EU-Startups Summit at the Auditori AXA in Barcelona! At our annual flagship event we showcase a selection of Europe’s hottest startups and come together to learn from some of the most successful European entrepreneurs of our time. The EU-Startups Summit 2018 will bring together about 750 founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, as well as media people from all across Europe. The one-day event is a great opportunity for networking, and a meeting point for aspiring entrepreneurs and investors who are aiming to build international tech companies. We will have fireside chats with internationally successful founders out of the Internet space and an exciting pitch competition with 15 startup teams!

At the EU-Startups Summit 2018, we’ll have several high profile entrepreneurs and investors among our speakers.

During the EU-Startups Summit, we’ll also have a big pitch competition with 15 of Europe’s most exciting early-stage startups. The pre-selected startups are going to pitch their business idea within a 3-minute-presentation in front of the audience and an expert jury of well known investors. The winner will receive an awesome prize package worth about €65,000. The application phase regarding the pitch competition ended on February 25. The 15 finalists will be announced soon!

In contrast to the pitch competition, we’re going to bring 15+ investors on stage who will briefly introduce their investment firm/focus in front of our audience. A list with all the investors who already signed up for the the EU-Startups Summit will be published soon. We’ll also have a panel discussion with some of Europe’s best startup accelerators.
