Seeking Glue-free and Plastic-free closure of paper packaging |
| |
We are looking for a technology to seal paper packaging materials (paper only with no plastic coating) without using traditional glues or any other additive. For a sustainable packaging application, we're looking for a technology to seal or crimp kraft paper without using glue or plastic coating applied on the paper. Ideally, we want to seal 100% untreated paper without adding any other chemicals. Our preferred solution would be a folding of the packaging material |
Seeking Recyclable Closure for Paper Beverage Bottles |
| |
We are seeking technologies for a re-closable fiber-based closure for a paper beverage bottle that can be recycled in the paper stream. |
DRooTES: Double Rooted Trailing Edge Serrations for quiet blades |
| |
Aerofoil blade designs with double rooted serrations that reduce trailing edge noise to the maximum through destructive interference. They can be attached to existing blades so are particularly suitable for retrofitting to larger blades, such as wind turbines. They are however applicable to a wide range of blades moving in air and water, for example turbines, fans, rotary wings and fixed wings. The scale of application ranges from small drones (small blades operating at high speeds) to large wind turbines (large blades operating at slower speeds). |
Technology and innovation in food and beverage |
| |
Reducing waste, complying with regulatory standards and the sustainable use of products from Brazilian biodiversity are just some of the challenges facing the food and beverage industry. To support the sector on these and many other issues, the team at the SENAI Institute of Innovation and Technology in Food and Beverage provides metrology, research, development and innovation (RD&I) services for the food industry. Some examples are shelf life assessment, sanitary analysis, microbiological testing, regulatory compliance and the development of technologies for production lines. |
Device to determine the food shelf-life |
| |
The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) has designed a device to test the food oxidation, which applies real conditions of storage and transport combining light, temperature and dimensions of the device. This device allows determining the oxidative stability of the samples within a period of not more than one month, applying mild temperatures far below than the high temperatures commonly applied in Rancimat. Food enterprises interested in the utility model are searched to develop and market the compartment. |
