  The progressive increase of bacterial infections caused by strains resistant to multiple antibiotics and highly virulent strains has become one of the most serious health problems in hospitalized patients. Selective pressure resulting from the extensive use of antibiotics over the last 25 years has led to the emergence of many bacterial resistance and the spread of resistance genes among pathogenic microorganisms. All this has meant that we are at risk of infection "intractable". The increasing emergence and spread of resistance in Gram-positive bacteria such as the genera Enterococcus, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus, are clear examples of this. The constant and rapid global spread of strains carrying multiple microbial resistance and virulence genes has caused a large increase in morbidity and mortality caused by hospital infections.
  
  Currently, one of the most dramatic examples of this situation is the increasing emergence and spread of antibiotic resistance and virulence factors in Staphylococcus aureus and other members of Staphylococcus genus. Staphylococci are ubiquitous microorganisms, present in the airways of 30% of healthy adults and skin 20%. Patients and hospital staff have percentages somewhat higher. However, multiple groups of the population have increased risk of pathogenic staphylococcal infections. It is normal development of staphylococcal infections among newborns and their mothers, in transplant patients and people affected by diseases such as influenza, leukemia, diabetes mellitus, diseases bronchopulmonary, etc. It is necessary to find new compounds with antimicrobial activity and in particular compounds which can act against some resistant strains antibiotics.

  The newly developed technology is based on the complex utilisation of following raw materials:
  
   livestock wastes, TSE free animal organs, manure, semi-liquid manure, food-processing industrial wastes, canning industrial wastes, diary industrial wastes, technological sewage sludge
   meat meal, solid phase or semi-liquid phase biogas residues, animal meat, animal hair, animal skin, eggs, diary products, feathers
  
  The aim of the technology is to provide a composted end-product, which can be potentially used for soil-improvement and conditioning with high total organic matter, total N, total P, total K content.
  
  The technology procedure includes 3 phases,
  
  1. Pre-treatment:
  Pre-storage of meat industrial wastes cause significant odor emission: S-compound, ammonia, phenolic compounds, volatile fatty acids (C2-C7). It can be easily minimized by using essential plant oils with application of conventional additives. Our partner’s full-scale experiment demonstrated that utilization of additives caused significant inhibition effect on pathogen survival in 48 hours.
  
  2. Two-stage thermal treatment:
  During the treatment the company applies a two-stage method by using non thermophilic phase before the second thermal stage at temperatures below 60 oC. After the second thermal stage plant derived oils are used for deodoration and conservation of short-chain organic and fatty acids.
  
  3. Composting:
  Depending on the physical-chemical characteristics the composting procedure is planned by using adiabatic bioreactor.

  The number of hip prosthesis implantations is rapidly increasing all over the world, but sooner or later the prosthesis loosen up. During the loosening the bone weakens, as a result the risk of the surgery exponentially increases.
  There are two kind of hip prostheses: cement restricted hip prostheses and cement free hip prostheses.
  
  Our partner developed a bio-compatible bone plug for cement restricted hip prosthesis.
  Bio-compatible bone plugs keep the cement (which holds the hip prosthesis) from getting into the bone cavity, and to totally fill up the gaps between the bone and the prosthesis, because this ensures the proper fastening of the prosthesis.   Tests were performed in order to determine the mechanical, physiological, viscoelastical, temperature related stability and the solubility of the material. The mechanical stability was determined with a press. The solubility of the substance was also tested in vitro. Animal tests were preformed on pot-bellied pigs.
  
  Advantages of bio-compatible bone plug
  
  Today the plugs most used in Hungary are made from the femoral head of the patients. In the rest of the European Union, the market uses plastic and gelatine plugs.
  
  The plugs made from the femoral head of the patients infiltrate into the bone and not being temporary. It causes difficulties and increases the risk of irreversible injuries through prosthesis revision, because the plugs are needed to carve before the revision prosthesis is implanted.
  The plastic plugs have the disadvantage of not being temporary and it behaves as strange matter in the bone. Through the revision of the prosthesis the plug has to be removed by a dangerous and technically difficult procedures.
  The gelatine plug is absorbed in the bone but these are not enough mechanic stable and the prosthesis can slip through the operation and/or while the cement is binding.
  
  Bio-compatible bone plugs simplify the procedure needed to be done in case of a prosthesis revision, lower the risk, which is caused by the removal of permanent plugs.
  It shortens the time of the procedure by 25%, which means this technology makes the time of procedure shorter by one hour. The patient spends one hour less in sleep, and the doctors and the assistants would save 25% of their capacity. Further advantage is that it saves 25% of the blood used for a surgery.

  Basically, the catalytic trap bed is composed of a zeolite with a Si/Al ratio between 10 and 20. The zeolite is partially interchanged with cations of one or several non-noble metals. In order to achieve an optimum performance of the catalytic trap, these metals should be interchanged in the internal zeolite structure, and never on its external surface. In this way, the outflow of the exhaust gases passes through the catalytic trap bed to adsorb the HC at low temperatures.
  
  The material has been developed at laboratory scale. Different compositions of this material have been tested with simulated streams of internal combustion engines (cold starts). As a result, the material is able to reduce HC emissions in internal combustion engines operating with both mixtures almost stoichiometric and low fuel mixtures.
  
  The main difference between this invention and other existing materials is that this catalytic trap avoids any element or additional layer composed of an oxidation catalyst based on noble metals. Consequently, HC emissions could be totally removed through a single bed without using high-cost materials (noble metals) or further stream treatments. This fact allows the catalytic trap to be placed in any position according to the different control systems employed for decreasing other pollutant emissions existing in the gases stream, since the total elimination of HC takes place on the catalytic trap.
  
  Thus, this technology development results in a solid material where coexists metal(s) and protons in an optimum ratio inside of the zeolite channels, leading to a system that can act as a HC trap and as an oxidation catalyst in only a single bed, during the whole cold start cycle.
  
  The main innovative aspect of this catalytic trap is that the adsorbent material can capture the hydrocarbons in the cold start of the engine and oxidize gases during its warmed-up operating conditions without using noble metals, which are frequently used as oxidation catalyst.
  At high temperatures, this material is able to carry out total oxidation of both hydrocarbons retained by the catalytic trap and those present in the exhaust gas stream. Consequently, the resulting gas stream released to the atmosphere is innocuous in hydrocarbons.

  At present, the injection processes of epoxy resin and adhesion of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) tape are made completely manual.
  
  The epoxy resin application today is done through a silicone-type applicator manipulated by an operator. The developed system frees the operator from these efforts. Make the drive with compressed air. Further, by interconnecting flange, the tool is easily attachable to a robotic arm.
  
  The commercial FRP format is as a roll of tape. At present, its application process is as follows: The operator dispenses resin on the surface to be treated and distributes it evenly using a roller.
