How do I get paid by the Open Company if my proposal is selected?

The company posting a Challenge does not have to pay any prize money to the Research Partner (s) whose proposal has been selected.
Under our business model a Challenge Award is the contract, project, or commercial agreement that the company will close with you. That is why we do not ask you to send a full description of your proposal, but a global view that contains aspects such as a general description, its benefits and value added, your expertise in that field, etc so that the company can assess the suitability of contacting you or not.

However, companies have the option of setting a budget associated with the Challenge. The budget is only an approximation and its aim is that you know how much money the company is willing to pay to solve the Challenge. This budget may change if the end of the process leads to an alternative solution that is more or less complex than originally envisaged.
