Challenge: Seeking: protecting anodized aluminum in a highly alkaline environment

We wish to protect the surface of our aluminum product when exposed to the harsh alkaline environment inside a dishwasher. our product currently has a hard-anodized surface to protect against abrasion. all such anodized surfaces have minute pores that provide access by water molecules to the unprotected aluminum surface below. this is where oxidation starts. we need to protect the anodized surface, and the aluminum underneath.
