About ITC - Institute of Ceramic Technology

The Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC), a mixed Institute concerted by agreement between the Ceramic Industry Research Association (AICE) and Universitat Jaume I (UJI) of Castellón, was established in 1969 in response to the needs and demands of companies from the Spanish ceramic cluster and has, over the years, articulated a university–business cooperation system that has contributed significantly to the notable development of the Spanish ceramic tile manufacturing industry.ITC has played a key role in this development by posit... view more

Our innovation policy

ITC (Institute of Ceramic Technology) has specialized, historically, in providing technological support for the ceramic floor and wall tile sector, and for the frit, glaze and ceramic pigment sector. ITC’s fundamental concern is research, as the main vehicle to sectoral development, while it concurrently acts as a partner for sector companies in detecting their particular problems and in searching for instruments that will help them solve these, in addition to undertaking whatever actions might enhance company competitiveness in the international marketplace.
