About PomBioTech GmbH

PomBioTech is an award winning Biotech CRO located in the very heart of Europe. We have specialized on the biotechnological production of drug metabolites using recombinant yeasts of the species Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Our scientists have succeeded in functionally expressing a range of important human drug metabolizing enzymes e.g. cytochromes P450, UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGT) and hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases (HSD). Using these genetically modified fission yeast strains we are able to offer our clients custom prod... view more

Our innovation policy

PomBioTech has specialized on the biotechnological production of cytochrom P450 drug metabolites and glucuronides. Besides the production of metabolites our CRO activities include the generation of custom made fission yeast strains that are specifically tailored e.g. for protein production. In addition to these CRO activities, PomBioTech has a dedicated in-house R&D department which focuses on the development of new technology platform.
