The mission of University of Malaga's Technology Transfer Office is to transfer inventions and innovative knowledge to outside organizations for the benefit of society. About University of Malaga
In the University of Malaga more than 260 research groups are contributing successfully with their research to the technology transfer portfolio. This Institution, which offers more than 60 courses, is at present one of the fundamental pillars of the city’s so-called “productive triangle”, formed also by the airport and the Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía (Andalusia Technological Park), which is connected to the University by a continuous flow of ideas, highly qualified professionals and advanced technologies. In the coming years the building of new centres in close vicinity to industrial and advanced technology structures, as well as the splitting of buildings that contain more than one discipline, will configure the future grand campus which will extend over an approximate surface of two million square metres.
The Technology Transfer Office manages the use of University research results for the public benefit. We provide patenting, licensing, and other commercialization support to researchers. It has achieved a consolidation that has gone hand in hand with the development of research services, a potential that has become the true connection between the citizens and their University.
