About ATIC, URV

ATIC, the Advanced Technology and Innovation Center, is associated with the Universitat Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona ((URV). We are integrated in the TECNIO network of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government), which affiliates the main technology transfer centers and agents of Catalonia. ATIC was born in 2009 as the merger of two innovation centers, CiTQ and DINAMIC. Our innovation policy


ATIC aims to transfer to society the knowledge gathered in the areas of biotechnology, environment, fluid mechanics and health, by four research groups of the URV (NBG, BBG, AGA and FeT) for over 15 years. 

ATIC’s team includes the researchers and directors from four research groups of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili of Tarragona, plus a team of engineers and technicians, administration and marketing personnel. Altogether, ATIC integrates 2 ICREA researchers 24 Ph.D.’s and 17 Bachelors who aim to transfer knowledge and innovative products to the productive sector. With this objective in mind, ATIC develops transfer projects and patents collaborating with the national and international productive sectors.
