Desired outcome
Coal-fired power plants are the dominate source of power generation globally. Due to the environmental and political drivers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we are interested in technologies that would enable us to retrofit existing coal-fired power plants for use with cleaner fuels such as natural gas or renewable fuels, while maintaining the nameplate capacity. We are interested in both co-firing with coal or refueling with the cleaner fuel.We would be interested in receiving novel concepts or ideas about retrofitting or refueling coal-fired power plants with natural gas. We are interested in ideas at any level of development, not just concept stage.

•Coal-fired power plant modifications that enable direct co-firing of coal and NG without major equipment changes
